No real fanfare just a Twitter post that Tate Forcier was leaving Michigan and going to transfer. The marks the end to a young man who had high hopes to lead Michigan back. As a freshmen he was the talk of Michigan as he led them to a number of comeback wins. In 2009 he threw for over 2,000 yards and 13 touchdown passes. Denard Robinson came and Forcier seem to lose the confidence of his coaches and was dropping in the depth chart. Transferring was really best for him and everyone concerned.
What is next for Tate Forcier? That is hard to say as he will have to sit out a year, but what choice does he have. He will not get any playing time behind Robinson, so his choice was actually made for him. Look for him to find a college that runs a program that can use his talents. I do not think he will have a problem finding a college. He showed he can play Division I football and that is what colleges are looking for these days.
